Apply now for President's Fellowship

TORONTO, Nov. 2, 2011 /CNW/ - RTDNA Canada - The Association of Electronic Journalists - is now accepting applications for the annual President's Fellowship. The fellowship provides an opportunity for a working journalist to attend a seminar at the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida. Poynter offers an assortment of seminars on issues ranging from Leadership and Management, to Reporting Writing and Editing, to Ethics and Diversity, among others.

The journalist must have a minimum five years experience and be a member of RTDNA Canada. The Fellowship will cover expenses for travel, accommodations, session fees, and a daily per diem up to $3,000.

To apply, journalists should complete the online application form, and explain in less than 500 words why you would benefit from this experience. We also require an updated resume, and a letter from your employer. The final decision is based upon acceptance of your registration with the Poynter Institute. Applications for the President's Fellowship must be received by February 29, 2012.
