Creation of the RTNDA Canada President's Fellowship

TORONTO, Oct. 4 /CNW/ - RTNDA Canada - The Association of Electronic
Journalists announces a new Fellowship for working Journalists.
The new award is a $3,000 fellowship for a Canadian electronic journalist
to attend the prestigious Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Florida. The
Poynter Institute offers a Variety of seminars on issues ranging from
Leadership and Management, to Reporting Writing and Editing, to Ethics and
Diversity, among others. Candidates must have a minimum five years experience
working as an electronic journalist and be an RTNDA Canada member (or become a
member).
RTNDA President Bob McLaughlin says the creation of this fellowship
speaks to "what RTNDA is all about - reaching out and supporting electronic
journalists in Canada. We're committed to offering Canadian journalists news
and extensive opportunities for improving the quality of their work."
