RTDNA Canada Calls for Lifetime Achievement Award Nominations

Oct 12, 2011

TORONTO, Oct. 12, 2011 /CNW/ - RTDNA Canada - The Association of Electronic Journalists - is calling on broadcasters and online journalists to nominate individuals who have distinguished themselves through outstanding service and continued excellence during the course of their career in electronic journalism. We look forward to recognizing more of our peers in 2012 - our 50th anniversary year.

The Lifetime Achievement Award is one of the highest honours bestowed by RTDNA Canada. Dozens of individuals have received this award since 2003.

The award is for lifetime achievement rather than for a single contribution. Nominees should have a minimum of 30 years of distinguished service to electronic journalism.

We are now accepting nominations!
To nominate a colleague (active or retired) you deem deserving of this prestigious recognition, simply download the Lifetime Achievement Award Nomination Form (PDF) from the RTDNA Canada website at www.rtdnacanada.com and return your completed nomination to the address indicated on the form. ENTRY DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 31, 2011.

RTDNA Canada is the voice of electronic journalists and news managers in Canada.  The members of RTDNA Canada recognize the responsibility of electronic journalists to promote and to protect the freedom to report independently about matters of public interest and to present a wide range of expressions, opinions and ideas. The RTDNA Canada Code of Ethics, adopted by the Canadian Broadcast Standards Council, is used to measure fairness and accuracy in the profession.
