Eldon Duchscher to receive "Distinguished Service Award" from RTNDA Canada

TORONTO, April 2 /CNW/ - RTNDA Canada - The Association of Electronic
Journalists is pleased to announce that Eldon Duchscher is the recipient of
the 2008 RTNDA Distinguished Service Award.
The RTNDA Board of Directors was unanimous in its selection of Mr.
Duchscher for the annual award.
The Distinguished Service Award recognizes an individual who is deemed to
have rendered exemplary service to the benefit of both RTNDA and broadcast
journalism in Canada.
Mr. Duchscher is News Director at Saskatoon Media Group which includes
CJWW, CJMK-FM and CFQC-FM Radio as well as www.jazzavenue.ca and
www.saskatoonhomepage.ca. He has served in a number of positions on the RTNDA
Board of Directors including RTNDA President (2001-2003), President of the
Radio-Television News Directors Foundation (RTNDF), Membership Coordinator and
Prairie Regional Director for Radio. He currently serves as Conference Chair.
RTNDA President Bob McLaughlin says "Eldon's unrelenting support of RTNDA
and its activities never waivers. We are truly grateful for his ongoing
efforts."
The award will be officially presented to Mr. Duchscher during the 2008
RTNDA National Conference in Ottawa on June 20, 2008.
