RTNDF Canada 2011 Call for Scholarship Entries - Deadline April 2nd

TORONTO, March 28, 2012 /CNW/ - RTNDF Canada was established by RTDNA Canada in 1978 to offer financial assistance to journalism students. Nine scholarships will be awarded to Canadian students this year, bringing the total amount awarded by RTNDF to more than $281,500.00.

Scholarships are awarded to first, second, third year and graduate students. Submissions are limited to one per applicant and must have been produced during the 2011/2012 academic year.

The Scholarships

• $2,000 RTNDF Scholarship
• $2,000 Marketwire Scholarship for 1st Year Students
• $2,000 Eric Murray/The Canadian Press Scholarship for Aboriginal persons and members of a visible Minority
• $2,000 660 News Diversity Scholarship
• $2,000 Broadcasters of Atlantic Canada Scholarship
• $2,000 Barbara Frum CBC Scholarship for Interviewing
• $2,000 BNN / Jim O'Connell Scholarship
• $2,000 COLD-FX Scholarship
• $2,500 RTDNA George Clark Scholarship for Overall Winning Entry
