TORONTO, March 13, 2012 /CNW/ - RTDNA Canada, The Association of Electronic Journalists, is pleased to recognize excellence in electronic journalism in the BC Region when it presents its annual awards in Burnaby on April 14, 2012.
The RTDNA Canada Awards are given to honour the best programs, stations and newsgathering organizations in both radio and television. "In our 50th anniversary year, we're pleased to recognize the best work of our peers. It was another record year for awards entries, a clear indication that not only has our history been strong, but that the future of electronic journalism is too." said RTDNA Canada President Andy LeBlanc. "These awards are named after pioneers and innovators in the Canadian news business. I'm sure they would be elated to see the quality of work that exists in award winning local news coverage today, fifty years after our association was founded. Congratulations to everyone who submitted entries, and especially those who will be receiving awards in April."
